Store your voice memos like a pro

Where are voice memos stored on iPhone

May vary depending on the model of your phone. Typically, they are stored in the “Voice Memos” app or in the “Notes” app. If you’re unsure of where to find your voice memos, try searching for them in the “Search” bar. Once you find them, you can share them via email, social media, or any other file-sharing method.

  • To find your voice memos on an iPhone 6s or earlier, open the Voice Memos app. The most recent recording is at the top of the list. To listen to a recording, tap it in the list. If you want to share or delete a recording, tap ”…” to the right of the recording, then tap Share or Delete.
  • If you have an iPhone 7 or later, open the Notes app. The most recent recording is at the top of the list. To listen to a recording, tap it in the list. If you want to share or delete a recording, tap ”…” to the right of the recording, then tap Share or Delete.
  • You can also find your voice memos in the Files app. Open the app and go to the location where you store your voice memos. Then, select the memo that you want to share or delete. Tap ”…” to share or delete the file.

You can also use iTunes to sync your voice memos to your computer. Connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes. Select your device in the sidebar, then click “Voice Memos” in the main window. Select the memos that you want to sync, then click “Sync.”

Tips for recording and editing voice memos

  • To get the best sound quality, record in a quiet place. If you can’t find a quiet place, try to speak close to the microphone.
  • To edit a recording, tap ”…” to the right of the recording, then tap Edit Recording.
  • You can trim the beginning or end of a recording, or delete part of a recording.
  • If you want to save a copy of the edited recording, tap ”…” again and tap Save as New Clip.
  • When you’re finished editing, tap Done.
  • You can also add effects to your recordings. To do this, tap ”…” after making your recording, then tap Add Effects.
  • You can choose from a variety of sound effects, including Echo and Reverb.
  • When you’re finished adding effects, tap Done.

How to share your voice memos  with others

Once you’ve recorded and edited your voice memos, you’ll probably want to share them with others. There are a few different ways to do this, depending on what you’re using to share the files.

  • If you’re using email, simply attach the voice memo file to your email. The recipient will be able to open the file and listen to it using any media player.
  • If you’re using social media, such as Facebook or Twitter, you can upload the voice memo file just like you would any other type of file.
  • You can also use a file-sharing service, such as Dropbox or Google Drive, to share your voice memos with others. To do this, simply upload the voice memo file to your account and share the link with the people you want to have access to it.

No matter how you choose to share your voice memos, the recipient will be able to listen to them using any media player.

Storing and sharing your voice memos is easy with iPhone. Just use the Voice Memos app or the Notes app to record and edit your memos, then use email, social media, or a file-sharing service to share them with others. With a few simple steps, you’ll be able to share your voice memos like a pro!
